monobrow started as a pedal noise duo then we started messing about with drums, then drummers, then five drummers, then double bass and saxophone and all manner of instrumentation, until we became a massive collective making huge goliath rhythmic noise assaults and strange dislocated jazz interludes. monobrow is fucking dead. trouble with books is a quiet affair compared to the usual bilge i come up with, acoustic guitar, double bass and ambient pedal bashing. we recorded a session for the upcoming POSTMUSIC Cinema Sessions DVD on the roof of a dilapidated 1950s Art Deco Cinema in Liverpool at Midnight. spirit animals is just me. doing some slow heavy rhythmic noise type gubbins, at my first gig some girl screamed when the first wave of feedback erupted which i'm pretty proud of in some manner. bastard power swimming orchestra came together due to illness at a trouble with books gig where i formed a heavy slow rock band to play one riff over a 40ish minute set at ridiculous volume whilst climbing a stepladder, i emailed public image ltd trying to get a support slot to do this again, but they weren't interested. bastards. the immigrants formed in 2001 and split up in 2008. utterly shambolic but occasionally awesome noise-punk band. we recorded three eps but only released two of them, the other recordings are still unmixed. voted 43rd best gig (of 50) 2003 by gigwise.com. ghost pets was my first go at solo, i did one gig i really enjoyed in a real ale pub to celebrate the end of the world, and then one not so good gig where i said i'd never play solo ever again. which turned out to be a lie. LINK: no link |

friend request was an attempt at a samples and live noise guitar hip hop project, we had two amazing practices followed by a gig where the tweeters in the pa shit themselves and fell out and the promotors bmx got ripped off the post it was chained to and thrown through the pub window.
