further adventures in making continually evolving noisey folky hip hop experimental hook based music, both, Brutal(and/or) subtle in approach to delivering loud joyful noise in a live enviroment using large amounts of noise amoungst blatently traditional and structered methods of songwriting.

- We returned on May 18th 2010 from a 6week tour through Belgium, Netherland, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland with Dispo!, Belly Hole Freak et Babrberos and and many many other people! it wass simplyy amazing! full on documentation coming sooon! :) thank you to all involved, who helped ... We sailed through the night from Belgium and headed straight for Leeds to play a show with 2 minuite noodles et DURACELL! first time we have seen him in 2 years! totally safe guy and hosted in good old Brudenell Social CLub for the Britishwildlife collective.

We are paying UK shows through May, June and we have a big party in liverpool coming up on July 16th for the release of a split 12" vinyl on Postmusic records! ! with very special guests inc Devilman, Shiggy shiggy scotch eggs new project.

Stig noise spent 2009 living, breathing in Liverpool, Northwest UK we built a studio and general noise room in a big old unused 1930's Odeon cinema between April and Dec 2009 and have been involved making some amazing recording sessions their for a film ' Post Music Cinema Sessions ' i cant say much about until its finished but it is to be released in early 2010 .

We made up in a big way playing a very special show on Nov 3rd 2009 at the Masque theatre with Daniel Johnston! a legend! it was pretty special show in sooooo many ways....! .. We have some new faces in our crew too! true! too the ongoing nature of our trumpet, drum and noise orientated collective :) ->

Stig Noise (aka Stig, Stig Noise Sound System, Stig Of The Dump) has been an active creative musical outlet since around 1998. Managing to exist without plan other than to not to knowingly follow in the footsteps of majority, either musically or commercially, and to create something noisey, joyful and genuine.

Furthered through discovering original teachings in movements like D.i.y, No Wave Hip Hop and Jazz mixed with continued addiction to and exploration of all things curious, intense and instinctive.

None of this would be possible without a handful of amazing human beings that help make it possible for us to exist, tour and make records.

musically Stig Noise is ongoing analysis on the idea of hooks and motervational sound. Our recordings are ways to explore audio engineering skills and ideas. sharing these recordings is based on a curiosity in the wildly evolving current methods of communication ... we live in messed up times... but it is fucking wonderful and we are fortunate to do these things...

Pressing these recordings into tiny little consumable hand made packages and exchange them for money, it is with genuine pride in our work and inorder to purchase fuel, transport and maintain equipment whenever it is possible for us to go on tour.

When its possible we travel with ridiculasly phat old sound system built and modified by members of our collective since around 1995... it is now painted turquoise and is usually arranged as a some kind of fearsome totompole style bass and stealth ommiting structure at our shows... hense the Soundsystem in the name.

All our recordings to date are available through us and released through originally our own DIY label Class A Audio. for the forceable future we are going to be working with liverpool collective label and community outlet Post Music.

They can be ordered at the bottom of this page through us-> as well as many other internet sites and diy disto sources. some related records, Cd's and some Tshirt designs we hand screenprint are also now available aswell as selected record shops around the UK.

Existing Recordings: In 1998 a 3 track tape was made with Bill Leach called ' We grow our beards long...' a fuzzy photograph of some local Reading tramps was endlessly photocopied and the name Stig Of The Dump was decided as a good band name..... Between 2000 - 2004 we distrobuted many tapes / cdr's of different demo recordings through Hackney, East London based collective, StraightOuttaClapton.

Our first CD release was 'Pissed As Art' ep on Loose Records in 2004, a community label based in Runcorn, Northwest UK. Followed by, In 2006 , an album made up of odds and ends of recordings made over a veeerrryyy longtime 'Rum & Brass' on London label Rebel Music in UK, and Germany/Japan distrobuted by Forte. During 2006 we got into using more brutal and super fast proggrammed beats and hooked up with Wrong Music in Brighton, a now legendary label who spawned an entire movement or ridiculasly messed up music. We got totally insired and blown away by some of their people, and we were included on their 'Etc' release early 2007. In April 2007 Class A Audio released its first 12" 'Loud More Yes' featuring: Filastine, Kling Klang, Shitmat, Soeza, Jason Forest, Scotch Egg, a.P.A.t.T., Germlin, Suitable Case For Treatment alongside our track 'Bass Bins Pour 4am' from a session of recordings with our first real life drummer in early 2007. Our latest recording is a new session pressed to 12" vinyl in spring 2008 called 'Wonk Step' Ep it is a split release with our pals a.P.A.t.T. and its an awesome Limited edition 12"/CD/download combo special :)

These lunatics will keep the public in suspense for 45. They s'amènent to 5 on stage: a trumpeter, playing also a mini-keyboard and typing time to time on a bass drum-a lap-steel guitarist-drummer unleashed a bassist = 25kg and the dreadlocked head guitars and yelling demonic, not to mention the capers in the public. A sixth man, turntables, add the weird sounds enthusiastic compositions of Liverpudlians.. 'Mexican Outburst' with lyrical trumpet and lapsteel sombrero before the guitarist did put a vociférer (in a headphone), as an Iroquois who surprised his squaw in the bed of Sarkozy. He stings of nervous breakdown, struggles with his guitar, throws her in the air, attached to a cable above the scene and sent to die at our feet.
