Somebody who came to a show in France towards the end of 2011 drew this picture above, its a nice epitaph for the last few years of adventure! in our current line up we enjoyed the company of our pals Child Abuse / Divorce for a weekend, and a couple of shows with our pals Action Beat in MK, and a trip over Snakes Pass to Leeds when our friend Mr Macaille came from Belgium with is cello and kick drums, and then we called it a day. it was a ridiculas part of the story... these last 3 years, from Daniel Johnston show in Liverpool in 2009 until we somehow spent 2months straight touring western europe at the end of 2011... that was as excellent adventure.
Stig Noise (aka Stig, Stig Noise Sound System, Stig Of The Dump) has been an active creative musical outlet since around 1998. Managing to exist without plan other than to not to knowingly simply follow in the footsteps of majority, either musically or commercially, and to create something noisey, joyful and genuine. A changing libe up of immensly talented people making noise and melody touched by movements in popular and non popular music like D.i.y, No Wave, Hip Hop and Jazz et all! mixed with continued addiction to and exploration of all things curious, intense and instinctive... its just music. None of this would be possible without a handful of amazing human beings that help make it possible for us to exist, tour and make records. Musically Stig Noise is seamingly an ongoing analysis on the idea of hooks and motervational sound.... we live in messed up times... and we are fortunate to do these things... We make recordings and make releases under diy labels inorder to help fund tours and travel making music, when it is possible. we are inventive,
friendly and diy people.

This was 2011 In Dec 2011 we returned to Liverpool after finishing a 2month/9week tour in Europe, playing the first 2 weeks of shows in October with our new pals from Glasgow > Divorce ! After they returned Glasgow we carried on through France, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Austria, Germany until Dec 2012.... hooked up with pals along the way included PHULLOPIUM DUDE who opened up our show for abarrt a month... it was amazing... cant thank the hundreds of people we met and all who made the whole trip such an immense privilege . loads of documentation and pwarrr shout outs on its way.... 2011 as it was, would not have been possible without the amazing work of our excellent friends - POSTMUSIC (UK), Kirmes & EINE WELT AUS HACK (DE/CZ/+), Alice @ LE BUREAU DETTONANT (FR), Antonio & CDP @ HUMAN FEATHER (IT/ES), Marcello & Valerio @ NEGATIVland (IT), Alain @ SOME NOISE (BE), FEEEDBACK(W) muchos muchos. No we are never gonna dance again.. the way we did with...you get the idea x stig noise.

From Sept 2010 - May 2011 Stig Noise co ran a creative space in Liverpool Called Dont Drop The Dumbells along side our Liverpool crew POSTMUSIC & Friends began occupying a central Liverpool unused castle and now 6months later we have an amazing active creative space in an old Gym and TUC Center... Check it out @ www.DontDropTheDumbells.co.uk sadly the doors closed for good in May 2011 These are TV episodess from the our space... maaannnnnyyyy mannnny amazing parties have taken place organised by its inhabitants.. and these ongoing episodes hosted by Paul Tarpy & other members of DDTD Crew will document nearly all of them including performances from Mugstar, The International, *Barberos, Vialka, Charles Hayward, Dot Kayo, *Am Eri Cans, Beast, Runners,* Action Beat, Child Abuse, Hammer Fist, Dog Show,* Ex Easter Island Head, Oddbwar, Long Finger Bandits, WCOLT, Circuit Ben, PAddy Steer, Ergo Phizmiz, Jaques, Isocore, Chris Brokaw, Nathen Bell, Api Uzi, Bob Corn, AFH, Apple Cannon, Bendal Interlude, Drum Eyes, Gum Takes Tooth, shield your eyes, remember remember, zombina and the skeletones, am adding more as i remember it all.. must be a list somewhere...

After our first 6 week tour we took some time out with broken ankles and exhursted musical brains to set up and begin running an entirly un funded and un.. errr.... verified? ( :p) creative space to occupy our time and try and bring somethng we have come to love in europe to liverpool. Over winter we built a network of rehearsal rooms, a venue and studioin an unused castle in the city center and wrote some new Stig Noise and finally recorded 90% of the new Lp ( 12" Out in October 2011) in that ratty little place. despite over 60 amazing parties that were held at DDTD by the amazing underground comunnity of friends we only played one very cold show in December 2010 in Dumbells with Drum Eyes, Tarpy & Spirit Animals. But did develop our offshoot duo project, AMERiCANS. We have had a nice couple of shows earlier in 2011, first with the wonderful Vialka and That FuckingTank for inviting us to the legendary 1in12 Club in Bradford in Feb. Amazing place! check it and help them if you ever see them asking for it. We carried on writing and rehearsing aswell as maintaining DDTD, putting on shows etc until May we were invited out of hibination to play an all day Fiesta for Obscenic, a group of active film makers and promoters who put together anwhole night and day of music in Wolstenholme Creative space. Ilove this place. thanks mr Wills and crew. Footvillage finally arrived in Liverpool with their pals Bitches! and we did a Stig Noise and also the very last ever MONOBROW and the very first Freddies Nightmare

This was 2010... hense the MMX! In Sept 2010 we made a rare UK tour with our friends Action Beat (Jacobia Stig has been drumming with Action Beat since 2008 ) The Noise Band From Bletch and their crew of Bletchley / MK bands and friends brutally destroyed a local golf course function room for the filming of a video Halloween Car Crash, and then the cops ccame and stopped all the fun :( Well funny, well brutal... In July POSTMUSIC held a big old party in Wolstenholme Creative Space in liverpool for the release of our new EP on a split 12" vinyl. along with very special guests Spirit Animal, Barberos, Isocore, Pariah Qarey & from Geneva Orcestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp.!
- We spent April & May 2010 on a 6week tour through Belgium, Netherland, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland with Dispo!, Belly Hole Freak et Barberos and and many many other people!

On May 18th we sailed through the night back from Belgium and headed straight to Leeds to play a show with 2 Minuite Noodles! ( great music!) et DURACELL! first time we have seen him in 2 years! and hosted in good old Brudenell Social CLub for the Britishwildlife collective it was a treat. At some point in summer We were invited to play by our old friends WRONGMUSIC to play one of their messed up parties in Bristols Skate PArk with DEVILMAN & ED 10POLETUDOR, matey most recently seen in the crystal maze but has also spent last 140 years doing the musics and then London for BRAINLOVE RECORDS festival in Brixton with DRUMEYES and Ratface ! . After a handful of Uk shows with Barberos in June to Brighton & London and a trip up too Scotland we headed back to Liverpool, now continuing our work within diy label, collective & concert promotions POSTMUSIC. much good stuff there! loads of other stuff too... cant remember....

Shows wern't so possible 2009, which is never goood! We made up in a big way playing a very special show on Nov 3rd 2009 at the Masque theatre with Daniel Johnston! a legend! it was pretty special show in sooooo many ways....! .. We have some new faces in our crew too! true! too the ongoing nature of our trumpet, drum and noise orientated collective :) ->

Brief History : Stig of the Dump was first formed in 1998 by , (ehem) punks(!) in North West England. The name shortened to Stig after making a terrible name for ourselves playing early shows over an period of time which is pretty much stored in 'blackout memory' these days, but was based on learning to play live and a very slow hitchiked move to london, for reasons i cannot even remember, but we got sidetracked by a 2year and a half stop-over in Reading, Berkshire where we began to make the sound we found from all our different influences from Big Black to sun rah. With arriving in London came a shortning of the name to Stig,alot of messed up shows, and with a few different line ups and members inputs and energies we made a fewtrips around UK and our first mindblowing trips to Europe all the while making a couple of years worth of recordings in difrerent friends studios and basements using tapes and minidiscs, made compilations of ours and our friends music and distributed cdrs as Straightouttaclapton records. :) Stig Noise have shared life with thousands of incredible musicmakers and people in general involved in diy music, creative minds and otherly thinking, we have been lucky enough to play hundreds and hundreds of shows in countries all of over Europe for the last few years and its been a pure privlage ....

| All our recordings to date are available through us and released through, our own Liverpool DIY labels Class A Audio. and Post Music. They can be ordered at the bottom of this page through us-> as well as many other internet sites and diy disto sources. some related records, Cd's and some Tshirt designs we hand screenprint are also now available aswell as selected record shops around the UK. Existing Recordings: In 1998 a 3 track tape was made with Bill Leach called ' We grow our beards long...' a fuzzy photograph of some local Reading tramps was endlessly photocopied and the name Stig Of The Dump was decided as a good band name..... Between 2000 - 2004 we distrobuted many tapes / cdr's of different demo recordings through Hackney, East London based collective, StraightOuttaClapton. Our first CD release was 'Pissed As Art' ep on Loose Records in 2004, a community label based in Runcorn, Northwest UK. Followed by, In 2006 , an album made up of odds and ends of recordings made over a veeerrryyy longtime 'Rum & Brass' on London label Rebel Music in UK, and Germany/Japan distrobuted by Forte. During 2006 we got into using more brutal and super fast proggrammed beats and hooked up with Wrong Music in Brighton, a now legendary label who spawned an entire movement or ridiculasly messed up music. We got totally insired and blown away by some of their people, and we were included on their 'Etc' release early 2007. In April 2007 we grew Class A Audio into a label from the clubnights we had been running in Liverpool since 2005 and released our first 12" 'Loud More Yes' featuring: Filastine, Kling Klang, Shitmat, Soeza, Jason Forest, Scotch Egg, a.P.A.t.T., Germlin, Suitable Case For Treatment alongside our track 'Bass Bins Pour 4am' from a session of recordings with our first real life drummer in 10 years. Our first 12" vinyl came out in spring 2008 called 'Wonk Step' Ep. It is a split release with our pals a.P.A.t.T. and its an awesome Limited edition 12"/CD/download combo special :). Our second split release came in 2010 with some more pals, Barberos, during this time we occupyed an old 1930's derelict cinema ( see www.postmusiccinemasessions.co.uk ) where we built a studio and recorded both Stig Noise and Barberos sessions during2009.
